Cuffley Brook and Ferny Wood loop

A favourite circuit of about 5.5 km (allow 90 minutes) loops through Ferny Wood and the ancient woodland of the Great Wood, crossing the clear little Cuffley Brook. Look for the moss-covered remains of an old parish boundary wall beside the stream. Paths are gently undulating and can be muddy, so wear boots.
