The Plough, Cuffley

On the night of 2 to 3 September 1916, crowds gathered as a burning German airship fell into the field behind The Plough. Today it is a friendly local on the edge of Cuffley, a short walk from the Leefe Robinson memorial that marks the event.

Combine the two with a walk in the Great Wood. Check opening times before you go.
